The Equine Periodontal System: Equine Periodontal and Consumables
Equine dentistry is continuously evolving at a rapid rate, the days of just floating (rasping) sharp buccal and lingual edges, reducing hooks, ramps, waves and steps is no longer sufficient!
One of the major causes of tooth loss in the equine is advanced periodontal gum disease and infundibular necrosis. The technology now exists for you to provide comprehensive protection and dental care to the equine’s teeth. Preventing premature tooth loss and decay is much less expensive than the eventual cost and risk of oral extraction and the ongoing expense of a specialised diet of an equine missing one or more cheek teeth.
